Strength	1. You impressed me today. Well done. 2. Memorize almost all the numbers of the findings. 3. Fabulous ppt design.
Weakness	1. Pronunciation errors: mediated (in slide4). repetition (in slide10) 2. Typing errors: generally (in slide 23). They are the improvement of students’ language skills, the motivation, confidence and attitudes of students in English learning.(in slide 24) Both quantitative and qualitative methods were used.(in slide 25) 3. The concept of “the computer-mediated communication tools are included” in slide 6 is not clear.
Question	In the slide 26, you said the researchers didn’t record the interview and you wonder what kind of data analysis they used. On page 182, the authors mentioned thatmean scores, frequency and percentages were employed to describe the students' views on FB as a learning environment for learning English. As for the open-ended item, the students' views were categorized into emerging themes and analyzed using situation and activity coding strategies. The situation codes were assigned to units of data that described how the student defined and perceived the act of using FB for English language learning. The situation codes were used to identify the situations in which English language learning utilizing FB would be important and meaningful for the students. The activity codes were assigned to units of data that described the students' regularly occurring behavior, such as writing (for example posting messages) and reading (messages posted by friends) that occurred as a consequence of their activities in FB . I think the researchers did record the interview so that they could conduct the coding method and data analysis is just as above. What’s your point of view about this?

You were great, Allen~ (I'm saying this only because you are my best friend's little cousin...) Haha~ Kidding! The power point was IMPRESSIVE! You must be really good with computer. Me old lady will need your further assistance later on, eh? (Since I'm your dear cousin's best friend... Get the hint, dear?)

And you're good at math as well, aren't you? At first I thought you memorized the data (the%), but then I realized you could do the math in your head!! Wow~

Weakness:

You should totally sue that xerox company you went, man! We could not see ANYTHING on your hand-out... Good thing that you had a great power point.

This is a really new article. If you're really doing your research about facebook, are you not worry about the limited sources of literature?

However, I'm curious about that if you really do the facebook research, how could you control the participants to use facebook and how evaluate the results?

Strength	1.The designing of PPT slide no. 4 & 5 are quite good. 2.Using the patterns to explain the literature review on page.9
Weakness	1.It's 2010, not 2001. 2.Some words pronounced wrongly first, but you corrected them when prof. Teresa ask you. 3.A bit nervous but the whole presentation still carry out pretty fluently.
Question	1.Face book is just a social network, people they don't want to chat in acdemic ways. So how do the users practice their english on facebook?

Strength	Ø Allen has good pronunciation. Ø Very good designs of ppt and illustrative graphics. Ø Allen was able to use his won words to explain each slide, that makes the understanding very easy.
Weakness	Ø The only problem was the unclear printout.
Question	Ø Do you think you would use another more suitable website instead of Facebook if you were to conduct the same type of study?

They learn on FB through the communication with foreigners who come from the English speaking country. About the basic of learning, I think just the communication or learn some vocabularies but not grammar.

I’m sorry about that. I think yes they did the record and have the codes for each student. But about the record, I think they just have the handwriting record. They don’t have the tape-recording, and they may not double check or ask the participants about the record is right or not.

I’m sorry about the prints. I think it’s hardly to control it because we can’t know what kinds of the language that the users use on FB. Unless I can have the pre-test about it, I will be directed to those users who use English language on FB. About the result, I will also use the quantitative and qualitative research to evaluate it.
