Question:

How will you do to decrease anxiety in your class?

Thanks for everyone's suggestion...I will try to slow down at my next presentation.....

Most of you are wondering how I can do to decrease the level of anxiety of my students.

Actually, I am trying the suggestions that are offered by this study. I try to slow down while reading listening questions because most the participants in this study mentioned that too fast speech caused the most anxiety in class. so this is the first step, I already did in my class. And at the same time, I read the listening passage more than two times in class in order for them to listen the questions clearly althought sometimes it takes more time to finish the test in class.

Second, before students go home, I lead them to read the description of their listening assignment to help them feel less anxious to do the listening assignment at home. Although some of them still make mistakes on listening but at least they stop complaining about th difficulty of the lsitening assignment.

The suggestions offered by this study really help me a lot. I will keep trying other new method to help them.

But there is one thing I can't change because students mention that the source of their anxiety is my appearance. They say I look pretty scary in class. Well ...this is something that I can't change...ha ha ha....
