Strength:Showed confidence, PPt well-organized and pretty well-known your paper.

Weakness:Sometimes you only just look at Teresa, handle the question was not really well

Question:In your paper, the conclusion showed that extroversion person get high grades. So do you agree with that? give me some perception.

I didn't see the research question on your PPT, does the researcher have mentioned it?

No, the researcher didn’t mention about it.

What is the different personality between Japanese and Taiwanese? Is it a critical element to influence the result of the study?

I don’t think there’s a big different between Japanese and Taiwanese. The result might be similar.

Could you use the SILL and MBTI questionnaires in your study?

Of course! Both of the questionnaires have Chinese version, which is very helpful.

There are two strategies in the study, do you think the two strategies are related to your future thesis?

Actually, there are more than 2 strategies. However, I suspected that functional practice strategy and social affective strategy will be related to my future study.

What is the dependent / independent variables in this study?

Extroversion and introversion personalities are independent variables, and dependent variable is learning strategy.

What's the difference between Functional practice strategies and Social strategies? Could you give us an example?

Extroverts who prefer to ask questions in English is one of the examples of functional practices strategies. On the other hand, extroverts who prefer to work in group can be labeled social affective strategy users.

There are 9 items are metacognitive strategies on slide 17, could you explain " metacognitive strategies" more detail?

These strategies include the student’s thinking as well as their physical actions (Lenz, Ellis, & Scanlon, 1996). Some of the most common metacognitive strategies come in the form of mnemonics, which are meaningful words where the letters in the word each stand for a step in a problem-solving process or for important pieces of information about a particular topic of interest.

In your power point, why don't you put your research question?

The researcher didn’t mention about it.

What's your reflection for this paper?

I think this paper inspires me the most. It might be one of the key papers in my study. What’s more, the organization of this paper is quite good.

Does the researcher mention about the participants? Does the researcher use random sampling? or connivence sampling?

222 college students majored in English were the participants. Unfortunately, the researcher Wakamoto didn’t mention about the sampling.

Does the researcher mention that factor 1 to factor 6 which factor has negative influence extroverts or introverts?

No, he did not mention any negative influence. That’s not the thing that the author focused on.

On slide 21, the results show that no preferred learning strategy for the introvert, which might have been caused by the data collection method, as the author supposed. What is possible remedy for this shortcoming in data collection method?

The author can change another learning strategy instrument instead. The results might show the differences from SILL.

In the abstract, there are 254 students took part in this study, but you only pointed out there are 222 students. So, where are the others?

The author indicated that some of the questionnaires were invalid.

whats the main core does the author mention?

The author Wakamoto was trying to find out the differences between introverts and extroverts especially on their learning strategies.

Will you investigate the limitation which the author referred?

No… maybe I will have the same problem because the participants in my future study will all be English major students.

I’m curious about each instrument; could you just explain each of them for us?

I have shown on my PPT slide 13 and 14 clearly.

Moreover, in slide 18, what does the factor 2, 3, 4, 6 specific mean in this study?

I am sorry that the author didn’t give any clear explanation of the factor 2, 3, 4 and 6.

As I mentioned above, factor 1 and 5 are the most important elements that influenced the extroverts.

In your paper, the conclusion showed that extroversion person get high grades. So do you agree with that? give me some perception.

Sorry, are we taking the same course? The conclusion didn’t show that the extroverts can get higher scores.
